Jasmine Cochran is a first-generation university graduate who believes in saying ‘yes.’
At Mississippi State University, Jasmine was a record-breaking All-SEC high-jumper and Academic All-American. Saying yes has led to speaking on stages on three continents, competing on American Ninja Warrior, and teaching in China.
During her five years in China, Jasmine spearheaded a school curriculum realignment that led to a feature in the BBC and the creation of a database that highlights the accomplishments of those who have contributed to the progression of society from a variety of backgrounds. Also, while in China, Jasmine served as an inaugural Poet Laureate for the Democrats Abroad Global Black Caucus. Over the years, Jasmine has had the honor of training thousands of students, teachers, and administrators in leadership capacities.
Jasmine is the author of two books and the ghostwriter/editor of 40. She’s had opportunities to speak for audiences like Lockheed Martin, NYU Shanghai, Rotary International, NCAA Women’s Final Four, and the United States Consulate in Guangzhou, China.
Jasmine currently resides on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with her husband, James, two brilliant daughters, Judah and Jael, and three pets.
