opportunities to learn—you won’t want to miss it.
We're kicking off the 8 in 8 Membership Challenge, and Club Refresh staff are ready to
assist you in creating a plan for club growth. Expanding your club is vital for Rotary to
better serve community needs. An essential part of this work is to establish a reliable
approach to attract and keep members. The strategies you implement today will
continue to strengthen your club well into the future.
Over the past few weeks, I have participated in four noteworthy events. It began with
assisting St John the Baptist Parish in commemorating their 50th Anniversary.
Subsequently, I attended the Rotary Club of Lacombe’s Charter Party, where it was a
privilege to welcome 38 new Rotarians and establish a club in an area previously
without such representation. I then travelled to Poplarville for their 100th Anniversary
celebration, which was marked by strong community participation. Their continued
growth at this milestone is admirable. On March 1st Jill and I attended the Bill Evans
Jazz Brunch in Hammond, enjoying a pleasant day and engaging with remarkable
individuals who had enthusiastic appreciation for Rotary’s contributions to their
community.

Now in its 28th year, the Northlake-Mandeville Rotary Scholarship Program continues its commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders. On April 26, the club will award four $12,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors in our community.
This program recognizes deserving students for whom this scholarship can truly make a difference—helping them achieve their goals as college students and future community leaders. 🌟

In March, Rotary clubs around the world focus on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)—one of Rotary’s key Areas of Focus. Access to clean water and proper sanitation is essential for healthy communities, yet millions of people worldwide still lack these basic necessities.
Through service projects, partnerships, and global grants, Rotarians are helping provide sustainable clean water systems, safe sanitation, and hygiene education to communities in need. 💧
When communities gain access to clean water, health improves, children attend school more regularly, and entire communities thrive.
Together, Rotarians continue to make a lasting impact—one project, one community, and one drop at a time. 🌍💙
