RYLA UPDATE - A Remarkable Year of Growth and Service!

This year, RYLA saw record participation with approximately 68-70 students. The camp featured leadership workshops by Dave Gamache and Aric Jackson, and a visit from Governor Sam, who educated students about Rotary. The highlight was a fun run benefiting Grace Girls Home in Sri Lanka, raising approximately $8,700. This orphanage provides boarding, food, education, and transitional housing for abandoned girls, helping prevent them from becoming underage brides, street beggars, and victims of human trafficking. Increased Rotarian involvement from clubs like Ponchatoula, Mandeville, and others enhanced the camp experience, demonstrating Rotary’s belief - Service Above Self!
