Join Rotary District 6840’s Disaster Response Team Today! 🌪️🤝
Disaster can strike at any time — and Rotary shows up when it matters most.
We’ve partnered with Stability.org (founded by Rob Gaudet of the original Cajun Navy) to help our Clubs mobilize quickly when disaster hits within or near our District.
👉 Here’s what you can do right now:
Go to Stability.org and register under your Rotary Club’s name.
Choose how you want to be notified — text, email, or both.
List any skills or equipment you have.
💡 No gear? No problem! We also need help with phone banks, organizing, logistics, and more.
Once you're registered, you’ll receive alerts when help is needed — and it’s always your choice to respond.
🌀 With hurricane season here, this is our chance to be prepared and make a real difference.
We already have 50+ Rotarians signed up — let’s double that!

August is Membership and New Club Development Month!
This month, we celebrate the lifeblood of Rotary: our members. Each Rotarian brings unique skills, passion, and purpose — together, we make lasting change in our communities and around the world.
✨ Whether you've been with Rotary for years or just joined recently, your commitment matters. Take a moment this month to:
✅ Invite a friend or colleague to a meeting
✅ Share your Rotary story on social media
✅ Reconnect with a fellow member
✅ Explore leadership opportunities
✅ Support or mentor a new member
🚀 Thinking bigger? Consider what it takes to start a new club or satellite club. Fresh ideas and diverse formats can reach more people and broaden our impact.
Let’s keep growing, serving, and inspiring — one connection at a time.
💡 DON'T FORGET TO HIGHLIGHT YOUR UPCOMING EVENTS! 💡

Rotary Delegation Supports Polio Immunization in Pakistan
From April 21–28, ten Rotary members from France and Belgium joined a large-scale polio immunization campaign in Karachi and Hyderabad, working alongside Pakistani vaccination teams and the World Health Organization. The campaign aimed to reach over 45 million children under five across Pakistan.
The delegation, representing eight Rotary districts, assisted with door-to-door immunizations—even in remote slums and at railway stations—administering the life-saving vaccine to children in transit.
Supported by local clubs and the Pakistan PolioPlus Committee, the team witnessed both the challenges and the deep commitment of health workers and volunteers. Rotary’s continued presence in these efforts shows that global support remains vital until the virus is fully eradicated.
As one participant said:
“This is more than a humanitarian project—it's a project for humanity.”
