Plans to Expand Rotaract in D6840 -- everyone is invited to this information and strategy session with an opportunity to have all of your questions about Rotaract answered!

The District 6840 Rotaract Committee will present an information session on the state of Rotaract and present our growth strategy and planning.  We are looking to foster Rotaract Clubs in and around: New Orleans, Hattiesburg, the Northshore, the Gulf Coast, and the West Bank/Metairie/Kenner.

Allyson Barnes, Deputy Governor for Rotaract, Andre Carter, and Kaelb Champagne, District Rotaract Representatives, will lead the session.  They will be joined by DG Elizabeth (RC Covington) and members of the District Rotaract Committee, Nancy Miller (RC Metairie), Mark Dispenza (RC Hammond), and PDG Greg Lier (RC St Charles Parish).

Prior to joining the session, you may want to visit the following sites to get up to date on major institutional and structural changes in Rotary and Rotaract that are informing the strategic planning for Rotaract in our district:

We hope that all Rotarians will help us to identify scholarship winners, adult children of current and former Rotary Club members, RYLA graduates, Interact Club graduates and others you have supported in the last TEN YEARS.  Many of them still live in the area (or have returned) and will be ready to put your investment in their leadership development to good use by getting involved in chartering and leading a Community Rotaract Club.  While this information session is designed to bring Rotarians up to date on the many changes in Rotaract, we encourage you to go ahead and invite anyone from that "list" above.  The district does not collect this club-specific information; we'll need you to make initial contact!
