Rotary Youth Exchange
ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Rotary Youth Exchange is one of Rotary's oldest international programs and is a key component of Rotary's New Generations and Peace initiatives.
Scholarship recipients spend one full school year attending high school in another country. The friendships, perspectives, and languages gained in that school year are critical to each student's individual growth and to our global capacity for communication, tolerance, and understanding.
RYE D6840 offers long-term exchanges (one academic year) to students in Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. This program gives students the opportunity to spend one year of high school abroad, staying with two host families and immersing themselves in a new culture.
Spend a Whole Year Abroad!
District 6840 Rotary Youth Exchange offers international abroad opportunities for students who meet our requirements. You can choose to participate in the program either during your high school years or in a gap year following high school. You will live with more than one family in the host country and are required to attend school there. Students will depart from LA/MS in August or early September and return home by the end of July the following year.
